Emergency First Aid at Work

9am until 4pm to be held at Stallard Kane Associates, 11-23 Market Street, Gainsborough, DN21 2BL.
This course is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to enable participants to attain the knowledge and skills needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. At the end of the course participants will be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of the first aider.
Topics covered are:
- Acting safely and effectively in an emergency situation
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor injuries
- Use of first aid equipment
- Record keeping
Successful participants will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, valid for 3 years, after which the learner will need to retake the course in order to remain qualified.
