WORLD TRADE AT 1 - Trading with the USA - Land of Opportunity

By Hull Daily Mail | Event Date: 23 Mar 2017

Dear All,
We are delighted to announce that our next WT@1 event will focus on trading with the United States of America, the range of opportunities it has to offer for Yorkshire and Humber businesses, and also the new Administration and what it means for business.
The USA is the UK’s largest single export market. Its GDP equals close to a quarter of the entire total for the rest of the world.
With over 50 states, the sheer size and cultural differences make this market a fascinating and diverse place for UK exporters. UK products have a good reputation for quality in the US and opportunities exist in all sectors, particularly:

  •  Advanced Engineering
  •  Clean Technology
  •  Creative & Media
  •  Energy & Power
  •  Financial & Professional Services
  •  Food & Drink

Hull is the only UK city that sells more of its exports to the USA than to the EU, with almost half of its exported goods and services going across the Atlantic.
Our expert panel of speakers will provide political updates on the USA, the new Administration and what it all means for business; trading with the USA and the challenges and opportunities it has to offer;

  •  Emmanuel Adam, Director of Trade & Policy, BritishAmerican Business
  •  Colin McCullagh, Director, OCO Global, who specialises in assisting UK companies enter the US market
  • Alvaro Alamillo, Head of Institutional Partnerships & USA Country Expert, Santander‚Äč

Our speakers will be available for consultation over lunch, when you will also have the opportunity to network with fellow international traders. We are also offering a limited number of 10 minute 121s with each speaker after lunch. Places for this event and 121s are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To reserve your place, please click here to complete the booking form.

Best wishes
