Interim Financial Controller

East Yorkshire. United Kingdom - Full-time 6-month contract.

An Interim Financial Controller is required to work with this client in the education sector based in East Yorkshire covering all day-to-day operations.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO you will be responsible for the smooth running of all day-to-day financial operations with the help of a team of experienced Management Accountants.

Your duties will include:
- Partnering with divisional heads (non-finance) on a monthly basis to explain figures and improve financial performance.
- Preparation of board packs with commentary to the senior management team.
- Reviewing monthly and year-end accounts as well as leading all internal and external audit matters.
- Timely and accurate submission of all VAT, tax and regulatory data.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience with a recent history of rounded Financial Controller roles in similar environments.

Ideally, you will be a professional contractor experienced in offering interim cover between permanent appointments.

They will also consider permanent candidates who are between. roles and will commit to the full assignment, including handover.
