Photos have revealed what will greet customers inside The Kingswood pub in Hull after major makeover and rebrand.
The pub, which is now re-opening its doors as a Beefeater, boasts a new and improved menu and a facelift inside.
Ben Walsh, general manager, said the pub now looks “stunning,” and promised “a great experience” for diners.
“We have had a full revamp in the restaurant itself, and have opened it out massively," he said.
“We have changed everything around and made it really bright and really open.
“The colours that are in there, rather than being garish and too over-the-top, are really trendy.”
Customers will still be able to enjoy value dishes on an evening.
The Kingswood, on Kingswood Park, north Hull, will now however boast an impressive selection of steaks, after the pub made the switch from a Table Table to Beefeater brand.
The drinks menu will remain familiar to diners, but will now also include some high-quality wines to accompany its new steaks.
Mr Walsh said The Kingswood had “gone full circle", having started out life as a Beefeater, before switching to Brewer’s Fair and then Table Table.
He said: “We have not had another Beefeater in Hull for four years now.
"This has been on the cards for a little while, and there have been reasons why it has not happened sooner, but we have always been on the list.”
The manager said early feedback on the work had been “overwhelming.”
“Steaks are our priority, but we still have some great chicken dishes, and classics like beef pie and haddock and chips, so we have some great pub favourites,” he said.
While the menu and appearance may be different, the staff which have greeted customers into the pub in the past remain largely the same.
“I have been here for six years now, and most of the team have been here a long time,” Mr Walsh said.
“The place just looks stunning now, and everyone in the team is really proud of it.
“Customers can expect pretty much the same prices on the drinks…some of them have changed by about 5p but some of our drafts have actually gone down in price.”
The Kingswood closed for its revamp on September 25. It will reopen fully to customers on Wednesday, October 11.
When asked what The Kingsway offers to new customers, Mr Walsh said: “To be honest, it is somewhere to come for a really great experience, from the team who will greet you right through to the food.
“For the people who don’t know it, we are going to be really really good, and for those who have been before, it will be the same great experience but with better food and drinks.”
