The latest bar to open in Cleethorpes is making a splash with its fancy cocktails.

Arthur's House has opened on the site of historic menswear shop Arthur Burton's, which traded on Sea View Street for 145 years since 1872.

The bar is a gin kitchen and cocktail lounge, which aims to provide customers with a sophisticated drinking experience.

"We wanted to bring to the street something a little bit different to what the other establishments are doing," general manager Jamie Younger said.

Their bartenders will recommend a gin and tonic to suit individual tastes and substitute it if it doesn't meet expectations.

The bar is keen to respect the building's historical background.

"We've kept the original mosaic outside and on our cocktail menu we have three bespoke cocktails named after the founders as a homage to them.

"Our first week's been fantastic - we've had a lot of people coming in to try us out and we've had a nice atmosphere. So far we've have a lot of positive reviews. We've had a really good response from the community."
