COMMERCIAL and technical figures from British Steel are preparing to head to Scandinavia as they look to secure rail orders and promote the new entity.
The bi-annual Nordic Rail 2017 exhibition is held next month, and it is the first time the Scunthorpe giant will be exhibiting under new brand and ownership.
It means a debut too for the highly rated Zinoco product, released commercially just after Greybull took over from Tata in June 2016.
Billed as the most durable system available to combat rail corrosion, it will be part of a range of premium rail products British Steel will exhibit, while demonstrating the expertise on offer in optimising rail performance.
The event, Scandinavia's key rail exhibition, is held in Jönköping, Sweden, from October 10.
It comes a month after British Steel unveiled a global network of nine international offices, one of which is in Sweden.
Peter Bernscher, British Steel chief executive, described it as "the beginning of our journey as we move from strength to strength, helping our customers to build sustainable futures across the globe".
He added: "Our new positioning allows us to ensure local service for global markets, engaging all customers and consistently delivering value."
The company will be present at Stand B08:29
