Cleethorpes Pale Ale could be heading to HULL!

CLEETHORPES Pale Ale has made the grade at Grimsby's biggest cash and carry, and could he heading to Hull!
The Axholme Brewing Company tipple, which has gained a cult following, is being given pride of place on the shelves of Dee Bee.
Brewed with sea buckthorn berries, it will now sit alongside the country's top brands.
The 4.2 per cent ale has become a firm favourite in the pubs and bars of Lincolnshire and will now be available to the 3,500 registered trade customers of Dee Bee.
Paddy O'Connor, Dee Bee operations director, said: "Cleethorpes Pale Ale has gained quite a reputation as a beer that has a unique taste. It's become popular in many pubs and restaurants in our area so by adding it to our 6,000-strong product range we are not only giving the customers what they want but we're also helping another local company to promote and market its products.
"The next step will be to add the ale to the shelves of our cash and carry depot in Hull to see if Cleethorpes can also make a name for itself among the North Bank beer officianados!"
Axholme Brewing Company is headed by brewer Mike Richards and three Grimsby-based business partners, Charles Lumley, who owns Cambridge Street craft beer outlet Message In a Bottle, Shahram Shadan and Will Douglas.
Mr Douglas, commercial director, said the brewery was delighted to see one of its flagship beers sit side-by-side with some of the biggest in the industry. "Demand for the ale, which was first brewed for a Cleethorpes beer shop, has been such that we have had to expand to keep up with demand.
"Now it's on the shelves at Dee Bee we could well have to expand again."
Mr Richards believes adding sea buckthorn to the brew has given the ale a "great, tart fruitness which works perfectly with a crisp pale ale".
He added: "I'm passionate about using local produce in my ales. We've added lots of weird and wonderful ingredients like seaweed, beetroot and nettles to our guest beers but this has been the most popular addition by far."
