North Lincolnshire Council has been named as one of just 39 UK councils to achieve the four star standard in the 2018 SOCITM Better Connected survey.

It is one of just eight UK councils to have also met their four star standard in the last two years.

All 414 UK council websites were assessed for ease of completing several popular tasks, the website’s tools for finding information and ease of use of the website by people with visual impairments.

Cllr John Davison, cabinet member for business transformation, said: “Our website is available all day every and it is becoming the preferred way for a growing number of people to conveniently access our information and services, with more than two million visits to our website each year.

“You can do so much online now – it is not only quicker, but much more convenient and saves money.

“We are delighted to be recognised as amongst the UK’s best for a third successive year in this national survey.”
