Freehold for North Lincolnshire pub drops by £50k

THE price for the freehold of the Jenny Wren pub-restaurant on the banks of the River Trent at Susworth has been reduced by £50,000 to £225,000.

Owner Colin Metcalfe is quitting after 13 years to concentrate on the Colmet electrical firm he runs in Scunthorpe.

The Wren offers dining for 100 guests, parking for 25 vehicles and two flats to let.

The pub started trading as The White Horse from an 18th century farm-house but was rebuilt in the 1980s by the late John Slingsby.
