Friends join together to launch Indigo Moon - a new one-stop clinic for transforming your look

A new aesthetic clinic has opened in the heart of Grimsby bringing anti-wrinkle, semi-permanent make-up and custom tattooing all under one roof.

Indigo Moon has been open just over two weeks on Wellowgate and a trio of local ladies are behind the venture. Long-term friends Tanya Steer and Sophia Nous have joined forces with Kelly Todd to offer some unusual treatments.

Tanya, 36, specialises in semi permanent and non permanent make-up and microblading and qualified at the Elite Microblading Academy. She said: "I do make-up artistry for special occasions, weddings and parties. I do eyebrow embroidery and patterned brows, eyeliner, eyelash enhancement, lip liner and full lip blush."

Microblading is a form of tattooing, done by hand without the use of a machine. It's not permanent and is hand poked using micro needles to deposit ink under the skin.

She continued: "It's really popular for people that have not got much eyebrow hair, for people that have been on chemotherapy and lost their hair or whilst they are on chemotherapy.

"The fashion is all big brows and natural brows. The whole point of microblading is that it is more natural looking. The needles are so tiny, they mimic hair strokes. There is slight discomfort at the start but I use a numbing cream."

Kelly, 35, is a registered nurse and trained with Derma Medical on Harley Street, London. She is currently working towards accreditation as a registered safe practitioner with Save Face.

Kelly looks after The Face of Aesthetics and is a certified practitioner. She specialises in advanced anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments; including frown lines, brow lift, smokers lines, pebble chin, excessive sweating, lip shaping and ageing hands.

She said: "They are non surgical cosmetic treatments, less invasive. I also offer dermal filler Cinderella lips which last between eight and 24 hours. It's good for a night out and special occasions. It's good for people who are not sure if they want fuller lips."

Sophia, 24, specialises in permanent custom tattooing and completed a two year apprenticeship at a venue in Cleethorpes. She said: "Everything I tattoo are things I have designed myself. They are all personal, hand designed, I will never tattoo the same thing twice, it's all unique.

"People can bring inspiration in and I can turn the concept into something custom. I specialise in pattern work, dot work and black work. Most of my work is inspired by sacred geometry."I love that we all offer something different. It's a clinical environment, fully health registered, all licensed, qualified and insured."

Tanya added: "There's plenty of beauty salons and hairdressers but this is totally different from anyone else locally. The aim is for someone to come in here, leave looking amazing and feeling great, their confidence boosted and with great art work."

Kelly said: "We are looking at further training in other areas in a few things that are London based."

Ultimate glamour packages are also available for pre-hen, pre wedding events and the clinic also stock a range of 1718 sterling silver jewellery. The salon is open from Monday to Saturday but is strictly by appointment only, for over 18s only. Each member of staff has their own hours of work.
