In January, its Prospect Street branch was given a makeover "designed to meet the demands of busy food-on-the-go shoppers". Improvements included the introduction of seating and free wi-fi.

"While we continue to believe in the long-term opportunity to grow the number of Greggs shops, our priorities continue to be improving the quality of our existing estate, enhancing the efficiency of our existing supply chain, developing our product offering and evolving our service to meet our food on the go customers' needs."
