LUXURY residential development Carrington Gardens has completed the first phase of properties and keys have already been handed over to its first residents.
The 200-home retirement village is located off Humberston Avenue, and is being delivered by Keystone Developments.
It includes a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom bungalows and one and two-bedroom apartments, exclusively designed for the over 55s.
In addition, it also offers home owners the use of Carrington Lodge – an exclusive communal clubhouse at the centre of the estate which includes luxurious lounge areas, a library, light and airy orangery and guest facilities, available for family and friends.

Chris Parkinson, corporate sales manager at Keystone, which was formed 17 years ago, said: “We are thrilled to have finished the first phase of this exciting new development and we can really start to focus on getting Carrington Gardens’ residents established in their new homes.
“We are delighted to already have homeowners happily settled in and with a number of sales currently progressing there will soon be a busy, bustling atmosphere to the place which is exactly what we want.”
A try before you buy living room
The development, at the Humberston village end of the avenue, also has a ‘try-before-you-buy’ bungalow, where potential residents can stay for one night or two allowing them the chance to enjoy all that the development has to offer before committing to buying a property.
Mr Parkinson said: “It is a great way to see if Carrington Gardens is the right place. Many of our potential residents may not have bought a new house for many years so it can be quite a daunting task. With that in mind, some potential buyers just need a little bit of extra reassurance and staying for a couple of days can do just that.
“Carrington Gardens is ideal for those looking to keep the lifestyle of independent living but within a safe, secure environment and without the hassle of external maintenance and upkeep. The development is within easy reach of many local amenities, including shops and a luxury gym and leisure centre, making it the perfect location for over 55’s to enjoy."

Pygott & Crone is responsible for the Carrington Gardens development.
Donna Boston, new homes sales negotiator, said: “The concept of Carrington Gardens is so unique to the area as most retirement developments consist of apartments but this one is mostly bungalows.
“A large part of my role is to show people around the development so I get to have a good chat with the potential homeowners. We have had some brilliant feedback with people saying how luxurious the communal areas are and that we have thought of everything which is lovely to hear.”
Property prices start at £159,950.
