A major initiative aimed at promoting North Lincolnshire and attracting significant investment and jobs to the region is set to be launched next week.
Representatives of more than 150 businesses are expected to attend the official launch of the North Lincolnshire Ambassador Programme, which will be held at the Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort on Thursday, January 18.
The Ambassador programme asks businesses to sign up to a scheme to become advocates for North Lincolnshire, collectively celebrating and championing the strength and depth of the economy, the skills base available and the infrastructure which will support investment.
North Lincolnshire Council's business-led place marketing board is behind the initiative, which also looks to raise the profile and confidence of the area.
Nina Stobart, of Phillips 66, chairs the place marketing board and urged businesses which have not already registered to attend the launch to do so.
She said: "The launch is part of a coordinated effort involving major players in North Lincolnshire.
"It is all about raising the profile and confidence of the area, promoting the amazing businesses we have while showing the rest of the country our door is well and truly open to investment.
"This event is the start of a journey of opportunity for businesses to come together to showcase North Lincolnshire.
"We want people to share their success stories. Businesses coming to the Forest Pines event are invited to bring pull-up banners to promote what they do."

The launch event will begin at 7.30am and speakers will include representatives of Go Ape, which is set to launch a new activity centre at Normanby Hall in the spring.
The keynote speaker will be entrepreneur Richard Askam, while a new North Lincolnshire promotional film will have its premiere, there will be a question time session and locally-sourced food and drinks will be on offer.
Council leader Rob Waltham, who will also be among the speakers, said: "We are flying the flag for North Lincolnshire in what will be a high-profile event.
"Some of the wonderful produce and drinks made in North Lincolnshire will be enjoyed at the launch.
"It represents a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to get involved in promoting this wonderful area of ours.
"We've had more than 150 say they are coming to the event. The momentum and excitement is building around the launch and we want to see as many businesses as possible make the most of this one-off opportunity.
"It is another chance to bang the drum about what we are doing to create a place that is attractive to potential investors and helps showcase the excellent workforce that our employers have access to in North Lincolnshire."
Businesses which have not already registered to attend the launch event can book places by going to www.eventbrite.co.uk and searching for North Lincolnshire.
