Managing director of Hull Daily Mail and Grimsby and Scunthorpe Telegraph promoted to national role

The managing director of the Hull Daily Mail, the Grimsby Telegraph and Scunthorpe Telegraph and the Lincolnshire Echo has been promoted to a national role.

Mike Pennington, currently regional managing director for Trinity Mirror’s North East region, has taken up the position of regionals revenue director.

Mr Pennington will retain responsibility for the Humber and Lincolnshire region.

In addition, he has been promoted to Trinity Mirror’s senior executive team.

The appointment gives him responsibility for Trinity Mirror titles throughout the country, with all regional and managing directors now reporting to him.

Mr Pennington said: “I am delighted to be appointed and have this opportunity to look at how we can maximise the local print and digital advertising revenue across the group.

“We have a wonderful stable of brands, and the right people to take our regional titles from strength to strength.

“I have always had revenue at the forefront of everything I do, so I’m excited to get started and work closely with the team.”
