A SCUNTHORPE mobile bar business has launched.
Mojito Machine, based in Ashby, is the brainchild of owner Aaron Dawson and his fiancee Katie Robinson, who converted a 1997 Piaggio Ape 50cc van into a bar to be used at outdoor events.
It stocks wine, beer, spirits and cocktails, is available for hire at any outdoor event.
They have been setting the business up for the last year.
“It has been really good and we have had plenty of quotes come through. People have been asking for quotes for weddings and parties,” Aaron said.
It is the 25-year-old's first business and he said the idea came after he spotted a company providing purely prosecco on tap.
“We have done one with everything,” he said.
Aaron purchased the Piaggio Ape for £2,000 and he spent money on customising it for the vital role.
He decided on the Ape as “it just looked so cool”.
Aaron said: “I like the look of them and it is the sort of thing you don’t see many of.”
Mojito Machine, which has a detachable trailer, also has its own signature cocktail 'The Machine' along with others.
