More than 470 animal lovers give vote of confidence to new Scunthorpe vets

More than 470 animal lovers have given a vote of confidence in Scunthorpe's veterinary surgery on Oswald Road.

Since the £150,000 surgery converted from the town's former register office opened on April 17 a total of 472 people have registered their pets.

In another vote of confidence for the business known as Old Registry Vets, Simon Maddy, 62, who has been a surgeon in the town since 1985, has announced he will be joining the firm in August.

Mr Maddy said his daughter Corrine also worked for the surgery as a receptionist-nurse.

An open day will be hosted at the Oswald Road site on May 21.
