The search for extra employees to add to the staff at a Scunthorpe factory is continuing.

Work on the biggest expansion in the 26-year history of TSC Foods, which already has a staff of 400, is said to be well on schedule.

Owned by the Liverpool-based Billington Group, the company, which trades on the Queensway Industrial Estate, is offering pay rates of up to £8.70 an hour for suitable candidates.

An open recruitment event has been arranged on the Arkwright Way site for Saturday, September 16 between 9am and noon.

TSC spokesman Mark Traynor said: "We’ve found some real talent recently but we are still looking for permanent workers to join our team.

"We believe people are our greatest asset and pride ourselves on the culture and values we strive to achieve on a daily basis and hope that those who join our team experience that in their careers with us."

TSC Foods is looking for people who are "motivated, enthusiastic and prepared to work with others as part of a team in order to deliver".
