A NEW manager has been appointed at the Foundry Shopping Centre in Scunthorpe town centre.

Stephen Dacombe has moved to the centre from the Locks Heath Shopping Village in Southampton and brings many years of retail experience to the role.

Mr Dacombe spent seven years at the centre in Southampton, the last two of which were as operations manager and centre manager.

Prior to that, he spent seven years as an independent retailer, which has given him an insight into the role of running a shopping centre.

Mr Dacombe said: “I’m so pleased to be given this exciting opportunity to manage the Foundry Shopping Centre and to be involved in the Scunthorpe community.

“I’ve got some great ideas for the centre and I’m looking forward to working with our retailers and various town stakeholders.”
