Opening date confirmed for Cleethorpes Starbucks - and is it coming back to Grimsby?

By Grimsby Telegraph | Posted: 12 Oct 2017

Cleethorpes' brand new Starbucks will open next week.

The American coffee chain will launch its new outlet at Meridian Point on Friday, October 20 at 7.30am.

After several months of work the former The Point Cafe has been transformed and is nearly ready.

It was announced back June that the big name in coffee was coming back to North East Lincolnshire after a four year absence.

The popular Freshney Place Starbucks closed in 2013.

The new Cleethorpes venue, which is next to Magical Castle, and close to fast food outlets such as McDonalds, KFC, Subway and Taco Bell will be operated in partnership with Soul Coffee.

It has created 10 new jobs.

Rumours are bound that the coffee giant is also making a return to Frehsney Place to replace Muffin Break, which closed in the summer, but neither Freshney Place nor Starbucks have yet confirmed this.

Freshney Place have, however, confirmed that a "national occupier" will replace Muffin Break and signs on the secrecy panels around the area confirm that it will be a new cafe.
