A partnership has been created between Pepperells Solicitors in Scunthorpe and John Leggott College, aimed at supporting local young people.
Pepperells joins an enterprise adviser network set up by the Careers and Enterprise Company, through the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
The network has so far matched 18 enterprise advisers from businesses across the South Bank with secondary and further education establishments across northern Lincolnshire.
The new partnership will see Pepperells work with the college at senior management level to help develop career plans for students, enhance encounters with the world of work and create high-impact create opportunities for young people.
Pepperells chief operating officer David Kemshall said: "Many of our staff are John Leggott College alumni and whilst we have looked to continue our links with the college as both individuals and as a business, the Enterprise Ambassador Scheme gives us the opportunity to improve those links and create an everlasting relationship.
“We have a national client base and now have offices across the Humber – in Hull and Grimsby as well as Scunthorpe.
"While we continue to grow we remain incredibly proud of our roots here and want to help those young people looking for a career in law to be able to access the experience and expertise we have available.
"I am sure the scheme will have a positive impact on our business and we hope the students can take a lot from it too."
Teresa Chalmers, executive director for employment and skills at the LEP, added: "These partnerships across the Humber are already benefiting young people, by supporting key links to industry and assisting choices and decisions that will ultimately assist young people into sustainable careers that are available in the region."
