Planning permission is being south to build 27 new houses in a North Lincolnshire village.

If given the go-ahead by North Lincolnshire Council planning bosses, the houses will be built on land off Hawthorn Way in Althorpe in the Isle of Axholme.

The site is currently a space of empty grassland enclosed by trees and hedges and the development is also seeking to build vehicular access to the site.

It is anticipated that the development would be made up of four- and five-bedroom properties that would be no more than three storeys in height.

If the development is built, additional trees would be planted as well as others within the development.

All properties would be provided with two parking spaces, with the majority of the houses having private drives and others having garages.
