Plans have been lodged for 85 new homes on a former allotment plot in Scunthorpe.

The former plot on Roman Way, off Burringham Road, has been proposed by applicant Matt Smith of Gleeson Regeneration Limited.

An application has been lodged to North Lincolnshire Council's planning department seeking permission for the new homes and associated infrastructure.

It comes after the council released a public notice proposing the sale of the land off Roman Way.
