GRIMSBY-based Scratch Meals is celebrating after its Fit Kitchen salad range was taken on by a further 100 Sainsbury’s stores.
The Europarc team has swelled to over 50 as it produces health conscious ready meals, having moved up to North East Lincolnshire from London when development turned to commercial production.
The company, located within Humber Seafood Institute, was already listed in 450 of Sainsbury’s 1,450 store portfolio.
Last month it added on-the-go snacks to the range.
In an earlier interview this summer, managing director Philip Pinnell said: “Sainsbury's wanted something unique to them, we gave them that, put a lot of focus into the pitch, and luckily we got it.
“In May we launched a range of salads, ready-to-eat, and again they have gone really, really well.
“We want to develop a successful range for them. If it is successful for them, we hope more stores follow. We are a discovery brand at this stage. People are finding us on the shelves, it resonates with exercise and health goals, we have found a little niche.
“We launched at the right time, health products in January, we got into people’s habits."
