STAFF at a Scunthorpe car components firm are celebrating winning ground-breaking contracts to supply parts for the new Land Rover Discovery and the next generation Volvo S60 and V60.
The orders come in time for the 70-plus employees at Stylex Auto Products Ltd to celebrate 30 years on the town's Foxhills Industrial Estate next year.
Managing director Alan Ross revealed the contracts followed an eight year programme to develop the company as a supplier of quality interiors for the motor-home sector and upholstered components for the automotive industry.
More than £600,000 had been invested in capital equipment to support the programme.
Mr Ross said more job opportunities would be created next year and turnover was expected to rise a further 50 per cent by 2019.
The MD revealed negotiations had already started to expand Stylex operations to an adjacent site on Foxhills.
"This is essential for future growth," Mr Ross stressed.
"The business is embarking on a period of strong growth."
Under the deal with Landrover, Stylex will supply door panel component until 2023.
The contract for rear seat components with Volvo will run for the same time.
Scunthorpe MP Nic Dakin, who toured the site earlier this month, said: Stylex are going from strength to strength. I was very impressed by the quality of work they are doing and the enthusiasm of the staff."
In 2004 Stylex was sold to industrial investors Rubicon Partners Industries for an undisclosed sum.
