Scunthorpe shop takes on the supermarkets with free delivery service

By Scunthorpe Telegraph | Posted: 12 May 2017

STORE wars have been stepped up in Scunthorpe.

One convenience store has decided to take on the likes of the big chain supermarkets at their own game by starting a home delivery service – for free.

MV Express on Oswald Road is offering to drop off groceries worth a minimum of £5.

Booze, cigarettes and pet food are all included in the free service.

The Express store is also offering a parcel delivery service.

Most supermarkets in Scunthorpe operate a free delivery service but many insist on a minimum spend of £20 per customer.
