Starbucks is coming back to Freshney Place

American coffee giant Starbucks is returning to Grimsby's Freshney Place it has been confirmed.
Rumours had been rife the chain was to replace Muffin Break, outside the former BHS store, but both Starbucks and Freshney Place had remained tight lipped.
But now, the Telegraph can exclusively reveal that the rumours are true and it will open on Monday, December 18.
The new store will be bringing 10 new jobs to the local area and can be found in a new space, close to Market Square.

Amanda Austin, Centre Director at Freshney Place, said she was thrilled to be welcoming the coffee house to the centre. She said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming Starbucks to the centre. The café has a wonderful connection with customers from Grimsby and nearby areas so I’m sure our customers will be equally pleased to hear this wonderful news.”
Starbucks left a different location in Freshney Place in 2013, making a return to the area last month when it opened a store at Meridian Point in Cleethorpes.
To celebrate its return to the shopping centre, Starbucks will offer its range of ethically-sourced quality coffees and the new festive menu – which includes all the seasonal drinks and the brand new Festive Cold Brew. The store provides relaxing seating areas and free Wi-Fi, making it an ideal spot for shoppers and families.

Alok Yadav, Director of Starbucks franchisee, K Beverage, said: “We are so excited to be returning to Freshney Place this December and are looking forward to welcoming the local community to the new store!
"Freshney Place is a great spot to build a relationship with our customers as well as our new neighbouring retailers.”
Starbucks will join Freshney Place’s already strong mix of independent and national coffee shops, which includes BB’s, Caffè Nero and Costa Coffee. Amanda concluded:
“We’re very happy that Starbucks has chosen to be part of our food and beverage offer, and we wish Alok and the team all the very best of luck at Freshney Place.”
