THE opening date for the new Greggs in Grimsby has been revealed.
The leading food-on-the-go retailer, on Gilbey Road, will officially open its doors to customers next Tuesday.
A total of ten new jobs have been created as a result of the development, which occupies the former premises of an old church.
Bosses at Greggs say the layout of the development is “designed to meet the demands of busy food-on-the-go shoppers to offer customers a contemporary food-on-the-go experience.”
Seating is also available for customers who wish to relax and enjoy their purchases inside the shop.
Manager Mike Grigg said: “I’m very proud to be managing this new shop and the shop team are looking forward to hearing what the local community think.”
Roisin Currie, retail director for Greggs, added: “We’re delighted to be able to invest in Grimsby and provide our valued customers with a modern and convenient new shop.”
The director added: “We hope our new and existing customers enjoy the wide range of products on offer, whether they’re grabbing a hot cup of coffee, a freshly-made sandwich or a delicious savoury or sweet treat.”
The announcement of the opening date signals a swift turn around by Greggs, who were only granted planning permission by North East Lincolnshire Council less than four weeks ago.
Shop opening times are 5.30am until 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 7am until 6pm on Saturday.
