Work is progressing on new homes which are being built as part of the regeneration of Scunthorpe's Westcliff estate.
A total of 41 properties are being developed by Ongo Homes in the £9 million scheme, which also includes a community hub with a One Stop convenience store, post office, Co-op pharmacy and three retail units.
The homes are being built in two phases, with the first 10 due for completion by the end of spring.
Work on the remaining 31 has started and is expected to step up when the estate's existing precinct and shops are demolished.
The homes are being built by local firm TG Sowerby Developments at a cost of around £4.5 million and will include a mixture of two and three-bedroom houses, as well as two-bedroom bungalows and two specialist three-bedroom wheelchair-friendly bungalows.
Martin Phillips, development manager with Ongo, said: "These are shaping up to be really fantastic homes and will really help to transform the area.
"There is already a great sense of community in Westcliff, so to be able to build on that with more family homes is brilliant.
Work is progressing on The Arc, which also forms part of the £9 million scheme
"It’s a long term project, but the physical change can now start to be seen on site.
"There will be a range of different homes to suit the needs of a variety of people looking for a home in this area.
"Ongo has a commitment to support local communities, and this is just one of the ways we’re doing this, by building much needed affordable homes and improving community facilities for people living in and around the Westcliff area."
Work is also progressing well on the community hub, known as The Arc, which will also include a cafe, Little Owls nursery, hair and beauty salon, youth zone and enterprise zone.
The One Stop shop is set to open on March 29, with the pharmacy due to open its doors on April 9.
