A Scunthorpe pub has appointed its youngest-ever general manager.

Stefan Hobman, 27, has taken over the role at the Warren Lodge, on Luneberg Way and said he was looking forward to getting started.

Stefan, who has been in the trade since he was 18, said of his appointment: "I’m delighted to be joining Warren Lodge and cannot wait to get to know the team and all our customers."

The new general manager said he wanted to ensure the pub was a key part of the local community.

He said: "I'm really keen that in this World Cup year we create the best experience for our customers looking to watch the matches at the pub.

"I’ve managed a number of pubs, most recently in Rothwell, and I'm looking forward to bringing all that experience to Warren Lodge.
